Want a Narrower Tie?

Have you ever had a tie that you wanted narrower? It has a beautiful pattern, it just is too thick and looks bad? I have the same problem, and to be honest, it does not mean that you can’t use the tie or that it has to be discarded because of current fashions. You could wait for the thicker tie to be in fashion, though recent attempts (see Spring ’08 Ralph Lauren above) have failed. On the other hand, the shoe-string tie is definitely being attacked by fashion magazines and critics everywhere.

So what’s the answer? The staff at Tie Crafters (tiecrafters.com) offer to refurbish damaged ties ($9.50 a tie, min. four ties) or for $15 narrow ties. They offer a bunch of other services, as well, and while $15 might sound like a lot of money just to narrow a tie, it offers you the sleekness that you want without having to buy another tie.
