From The Future, With Love

I love watches. Probably more than the next guy. I appreciate them all, and especially the automatics, because they are essentially miniature machines, with movements and complications you couldn’t understand and all done mechanically. If you share my zeal Urwerk is gonna blow your fucking mind. The recently released UR-202 has miniature wind turbines with their own water-tight casing. (take the time to read that line again) Air flows from under the turbines and is channeled up past them under a sapphire plate and down through holes leading to a tiny air chamber allowing the turbines, when coupled to the winding rotor, to act as shock absorbers. The turbines are controlled by a 3 position selector switch that functions to adjust the level of air compression generated by the turbines by regulating air flow in the case. Increase the air pressure and the turbines slow down the winding rotor to prolong it’s life and other things I just do not understand. I won’t even get into the “hands” of the watch, just watch the video. Only available to Millenium Falcon pilots, Scotty’s got one too.

That is the most intense watch commercial, ever.
