It’s Ok If Everyone Watches

This has been out for a while but I just can’t get over it’s genius. UK band The Get Out Clause, unsigned and obviously underfunded, decided to use London’s estimated 13 million CCTV cameras spread through out the metropolis to shoot the video for their single “Paper”. They set up shop, instruments and all, in eighty locations in and around Manchester, London and put on a show for the chubby guys with coffee IV’s monitering these feeds. To obtain the footage they wrote to the companies or organisations that manage and monitor these cameras and asked for the footage under the Freedom of Information Act. Not everyone obliged but they ended up with a music video shot in twenty different locations across a major city, basically for free.
