Costume National

Costume National is actually an Italian brand that was founded in 1986. They did not get into the menswear game until later, around 1993. They have a pretty unique perspective on the direction of men’s fashion and Fall’s lineup was no different.

Look for chunky shoes, washed and wrinkled tailored clothing (oxymoron?), all brought together by classic lines made funky. Costume National does the “rakish” look very well, and their latest collection was no exception.

I think for those who really dig the vintage look, Costume National is a place to look for ideas, because they really show how to wear things that would usually be called “poorly fitted.” The looks are very French, but, the design house is Italian, and you can see that in the little details. It’s those details that really separate Costume National from other brands in this fashion genre.
