Ugly Dolls

Two artists, David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, were and still are in love. They were apart for a while because Sun-Min had to return to Korea. Sun-Min wanted to go beyond simple “I miss you” letters, so she stitched him a doll, which served as the basis for their Ugly Doll empire.

They have created their own little world found here. You can also find Horvath’s blog here.

The dolls are awesome, I just can’t stop help thinking that somehow in the future Teddy Bears will be weird and these will be what kids cling to instead. I’m not sure I want to live in that world.
