There Are No Children Here

shames02

This is a photograph of one of the two boys profiled in Alex Koltowitz’s book “There Are No Children Here.” The book follows Pharoah and his older brother Lafeyette. Lafeyette, pictured above, were also profiled by photojournalists in the early 90’s. They come from Chicago’s tough inner city and the story is not only heart-warming but engaging. I wish I could find more images of these two boys, but that was the only image I could find.

You can check out the book here.
