I know, you’ve seen Suede Loafers on this blog before. You’ve probably seen it many times. However, the pair featured today are not pricey like those Tod’s, but that doesn’t mean you can pair them with last Casual Friday’s three-quarter length short.
So what is the purpose of this shoe exactly? Well. It’s $60 and you will use it often, I promise you, here’s why:
So, if you’re like me, you just want to slip a pair of shoes on, and maybe it’s one of those days where you can’t even be bothered to tie your shoes. What is the solution? Not your expensive drivers, oh lord no, you need some beater shoes.
These suede loafers from J. Crew look nice, yet at that price point you can afford to let them get beat up. Take them traveling, to run down to the grocery store, or just for a bite to eat with your friends. The truth is that they are easy and a neutral enough color to really be paired with anything.
Sure, the suede doesn’t exactly scream utility, but then again, you’re not really supposed to be too concerned with the upkeep of these shoes. If $60 is too steep of a price for a pair of beaters, then I suggest you go to Land’s End and grab a similar pair for around $30 (you can’t find them online).
These will replace your flip-flops, and will allow you to always look put-together, even when you don’t care.
