Florence, Italy

During this summer many of the Eleven members are traveling throughout the world, here is a little taste of a summer in Italy.

Florence

First off we find the gentleman on the motorcycle, the only way to effectively beat traffic in Italy, during a hot summer day a darker brown light cotton pants with dark brown fine sneakers and a white cotton shirt, all covered by a crème suede, light leather jacket.

We then move on to traveling in style, in a city with such rich architecture and art the automobile plays its part, a beautiful automobile says a lot about who you are but a beautiful automobile in a beautiful city is just plain art, as seen with the baby blue Morgan Aero in the middle of Florence.

Further down is the classical image of the older gentleman going for a stroll during late afternoon, its still very hot yet light blue colors with obviously the burgundy brown moccasin are a must. As is the light brown outfit for the everyday.

There are so many elements going on here, but they work because they are all very subtle. The shawl-collar top, the rolled up sleeves, the tucked in boots, are all possible because this gentleman from Milan paid great attention to detail.

The Summer Wedding, New York

Vinney_Wedding_Outfit

Yesterday Vinney showed us a boat shoe that was just a little different than your average Sperry Top Sider. Today he shared with us his outfit to a summer wedding, channeling the 1960’s chic of days gone by.

Boat shoes all the rage, and our friend Vincent Tecchio pointed this out to me after he wore them to a wedding a little while back. He wore them in a healthy orange, which when done well is a smash.

You can check out the red pair above here.

Stay tuned for Vinney’s outfit from that wedding.

The Band Collar

So there is a lot of commotion over the Club Collar, as the new avant garde way to show how different you are (ps, I own one too) but perhaps the best way is to try another collar altogether: no collar at all.

The Jack Spade Bag

Since Summer time is upon us, that means you’ll probably be doing some sort of traveling. Whether it is to the beach, a weekend getaway, or for you world travelers out there, a trans-atlantic flight. It is always good to have a bag to keep around and this one from Jack Spade is pretty good.

Double-Breasted in Grey

Just came back from the thrift store, where the selection was impeccable, but nothing fit me. There were all sorts of Allen Edmonds, Bally’s, and other great shoes that all fit me wrong.

The Tod’s Nuovo Gommini

A pair of drivers are critical to looking fresh during the warmer months of summer. I would argue that a nice pair of suede kicks such as the Tod’s above are an excellent choice. If you’re going  to spend $300 something dollars on a pair, get a loud color like these yellow ones, or a purple (I have a pair) and then wear them without socks and ensuring that the rest of your outfit is understated to balance out the shouting drivers on your feet.

You can check these out here.
