Perspectives, Chukwuma ‘Chu Boi’ Morah

Our guest blogger this week is Chukwuma Morah, known to many simply as “Chu.” He is a recently graduated Industrial Engineer from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and is no stranger to the blog scene. He is a staff member to video game blog PushingPlay, runs his own blog Chu Boi, and has an always interesting Twitter. We sat down with Chu to discuss fashion, man-bags, and mullets.

Editors’ Playlist for the Week

Another week, another playlist. Funny thing is, Kanye is only featured on two tracks for this week’s list, but, to smooth out his ego we put his picture up. Lavender tux? How avant-garde.

Editors’ Playlist for the Week

cudi10deep

It seems that Kid Cudi has taken over Eleven, we actually had a fist-fight over who got to pick what Kid Cudi song. All right, maybe not that dramatic, but there was some definite group-think going on.

Kanye, No More Mullet?

3342312767_e9e1f0e432_b

I was just going through shots at altamira, seeing all the style from London fashion week, and I saw Kanye West, sans mullet.

Did Kanye actually cow-tow to the pressure of people questioning his choices with the mullet? I wonder if Kanye is capable of even acknowledging that people might have not caught on with Kanye’s hair choice.

Though, I have to say that cardigan is pretty sweet.

This Message Has Been Auto-Tuned For Your Pleasure

We’ve all seen it, most of us have even enjoyed it. Auto-tuning has come to plague our iPods and radio stations. Kanye ODed on that shit making his latest album, 808s and Heartbreak, and T-Pain has shown us consistently that we do indeed love the auto-tunage. But I feel like we must eventually draw that proverbial line in the sand and say, enough is enough.

I was encouraged that I was not alone when I stumbled across an article on my Twitter. Death Cab For Cutie was interviewed at the Grammy’s on Sunday when their Auto-Tune Awareness ribbons caught MTV reporter’s eyes. They were quoted as saying “I think over the last 10 years, we’ve seen a lot of good musicians being affected by this newfound digital manipulation of the human voice, and we feel enough is enough.”

Hoorah Death Cab, Hoorah.

On the other hand, the so called Auto-Tune Awareness had no website, contact information, no real way to become more aware…thusly meaning Death Cab For Cutie was basically just being one collective dick. Regardless, I feel that this little dalliance into auto-tune might soon become an addiction if left unchecked. Rally to the call of the human voice and lets go back to the days when Kanye was making Jesus Walks and Through The Wire.

Afro-Mullet; fresh cuz Kanye West did it.

kanye-mullet2Kanye West as usual is on some shit you never heard of, and can’t afford. Here’s shot two of the “shag” as we were corrected by a reader. Video of the of his performance at the Neighborhood Ball/Block Party on Mr. President’s inauguration night below.
